About ChemRails
Chemical production capacity is hard to find. The plant that can run your chemistry may be forty miles away, and neither of you will ever know.
ChemRails is building the directory that fixes that — a searchable record of chemical manufacturing facilities, starting from public EPA registry data and enriched with the capability details that actually determine whether a plant can take a job: reactor materials and volumes, temperature and pressure limits, handling and certifications.
Where the data comes from
Facility records are derived from public EPA registries, including the Facility Registry Service and ECHO program data. That gives us a verified starting point: these are real, registered production sites, not scraped listings.
We publish what describes a facility's capability — location, industry classification, and the EPA programs it is registered under. We deliberately do not publish enforcement history, inspection records, or release volumes. A directory that doubles as a compliance dossier is not a directory anyone wants to be listed in, and permitted operating scope is what a buyer actually needs to know.
Corrections
Registry data is imperfect. If a listing for your facility is wrong, out of date, or shouldn't be there, operators can claim the listing to correct it — see For manufacturers.
Where we are
We're live with the first wave of Texas and Louisiana facilities and expanding. Operators can claim their own facility listing directly; buyer accounts remain invitation-based while coverage grows. Browse the directory to see what's listed today.
